Two teenagers lost their lives in separate drowning incidents reported in Kandivali West, while a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a falling tree branch in Andheri amid relentless rainfall in Mumbai. Rescue teams, police, emergency services, and civic authorities were deployed in response to all three incidents.

The first incident involved a 17-year-old boy who drowned in Dingeshwar Lake at Charkop Gaon near Rustomji Building in Kandivali West on Sunday afternoon. According to information received from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Mumbai Fire Brigade Control Room, the incident occurred at approximately 2:18 pm.

Fire brigade personnel immediately launched a search operation at the lake. The National Disaster Response Force was mobilised following a request from the Mumbai Fire Brigade to assist in the rescue efforts. Officials said further details regarding the incident are awaited.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old boy drowned in a well located behind Sagwadi Chawl on MG Cross Road No. 4 in Kandivali West. The incident took place at around 1:47 pm on July 5 but was reported to the authorities on July 7 at approximately 2:40 pm.
